Amber: Window to the Past
|
|
65 million years ago in Jurassic Park, the coniferous trees was greatly damaged
by dinosaurs. Sticky resin seeps out of damaged trunks and
branches of the wounded trees. This aromatic resin oozed down the sides of
trees, trapping flowers, fruit, seeds, leaves, feathers and insects,
warmed and hardened in the rays of the sun. As geologic time progressed
the trees were buried and the resin hardened into a golden gem, known
as amber.

Although not sure that human can recreate dinosaurs, as in the movie
Jurassic Park, from dinosaur DNA found in mosquitoes that sucked Saurian
blood and were then trapped and preserved in amber, thousands of
extinct species of plants and animals have been found in natural amber.
Amber is like a time capsule made and placed in the earth by nature
herself.
