Story Behind the Art:
The organization is located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal which is known for arts and culture. They have artisans both men and women. Their silver jewelry and stone carvings are made by men. Paper crafts and knitting products are made by women. Men and women both get equal wages as per the standard of Nepal, and they work in a free atmosphere. They are not exploited sexually, physically and financially. Most of the artisans are from Newar community, known for craftsmanship and fine arts. They learn the working skills from their family members without going to any formal institutions. Father teaches to son, and son teaches to grandson. This way the family business continues from generation to generation.
